Meet the XFormer
The XFormer is a state-of-the-art machine used in high-intensity Pilates and designed to enhance your workout experience. Utilizing spring resistance, it allows for a wide range of movements that engage your muscles effectively while minimizing impact on your joints. The XFormer is perfect for beginners, as it provides support and stability while you learn the fundamentals of high-intensity Pilates.
What if I feel awkward or can't do all the moves?
First, we want you to know that feeling awkward or unsure in any new environment is completely normal, especially with new equipment like the XFormer. Everyone's first class involves a learning curve!
Will the instructor help me if I'm lost or need modifications?
Absolutely, yes! Instructor guidance is central to the inTension experience. Our instructors are trained to:
Do I need to be flexible to do inTension Pilates?
Not at all! This is a common misconception about Pilates in general. While flexibility is certainly a benefit that improves over time with consistent practice, you do not need to be flexible to start.
What should I wear and bring to my first class?
Planning your first class is easy! Just wear comfortable, form-fitting athletic clothing (this helps your instructor see your alignment) and remember to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. Grip socks are mandatory for safety and stability on the machine – you can bring your own or purchase a pair at the studio. Please arrive about 15 minutes early for an introduction to the XFormer before class starts!
Is inTension Pilates too hard if I'm new to exercise or not in great shape?
